Need To Engage An Id Or Contractor With Hdb Licence?

Hi, newbie here.

We are now in the process of searching for ID or contractor for resale flat.

Wonder if it is a must (by hdb) to engage one with HDB licence?

What is the advantage of engaging one or implications of engaging one without?

I've been flipping through some magazines and they feature ID companies some of which do not have HDB licence. However they seem to be professional enough and have good business. So is it ok to engage them?

I think better to find one with HDB lic ba .... U can read up abt Ah soon (non Lic contractor) .... Kind of scarly in the end sia
