Hi Eugela, thanks for the warm welcome! Layout looks good on paper but real small in reality : ( its only 93 sqm and at Fernvale (Near Yio Chu Kang) I heard of Henry from ID Note. eugela 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 Hi Eugela, thanks for the warm welcome! Layout looks good on paper but real small in reality : ( its only 93 sqm and at Fernvale (Near Yio Chu Kang) I heard of Henry from ID Note. Would you recommend him? I am in the midst of my reno with ID Note, must say that they are very reliable so far in terms of their committed timeline, when they say they will do, they really do. Pricing wise is pretty good and also flexible in nego to a certain extend. I cant recommend you yet until my completion, hope it will be smooth all the way. fifteenmay 40 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 We decided to start our shortlisting of IDS after chinese new year cos we knew that IDs took chinese new year off. We started emailing through their websites for their standard packages of 4 room renovation. We plan to get ID's standard quotations and then compare before making appointments to meet the designers face to face. Is this the standard procedure? Some of the firms have asked me to provide our floor plan and go down to meet with them to discuss. These are the IDs that made the first cut (Based on recommendations, images on their website) -Baroque * -Fuse Concept -Homely Image -Collective Design * -Earnest Design* -U-Home* -Square Room -*spam* -Renozone * -***** -***** -Ciseern * -Summit design -Impress21 -City deisgn -Ideal House (Mr K) -Sky Creation -Basic Image & Design (Mr Yeak) -ID Note (Henry) -One Inch Sq feet -*** Those had * beside their names actually replied me once they were back from their holidays.Quite impressed with the response If you have any comments, recommendations, feedback do let me know! fifteenmay 40 Report post Posted February 24, 2010 Hi Fifteenmay, That was what I did when I source for my ID... I think I went to 30+ IDs and slowly eliminating those that I don't like and finally narrow down to 3 of them. Then also along the way, we manage to get more ideas and slowly finalised our desired items for the house. I'm currently doing my reno...Mine is also a 4 room at Dover Cres.. My ID is Louis from Plush Living.... His follow up so far has been very prompt and good...almost manage to get him 24/7 every day.. email me if you would like to have his contact...leet_80@yahoo.com Enjoy the process ya... hI Dash80, thanks. looks like i am on the right track..how long did u take to shortlist? What is the final quotation if u dun mind me asking? my budget only 20-25k. enough?
osync 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2010 Hi there, Welcome to renotalk! What i did the previous time was to source around renotalk as well as read thru some magazines (Home & Design, Square Rooms, Etc) for ID contacts and ideas. Once that was done, i went 'painstakely' to meet up with them one by one. You can imagine travelling all around Singapore, very tiring!! Guess you have to let them know before hand your ideas (if any) and they will be able to advise as well as sharing their ideas. Be warned though, some IDs can be very pushy and some can sit there, look at you, keep mum for the whole session. Be careful of any hidden costs as well - the most impt thing for me is i managed to find an ID whom i'm comfortable with (Meaning he can listen and fulfill my requirements, push his workers to meet deadline and help me save costs). I've done mine under summit design, if you want the contact of my ID, let me know Cheers!!
