Oh, just in case, when the lights are installed, consider asking them no to cover it with the cover. The place will get dusty during the reno and it will be difficult to clean........ lol...in my case, I reminded the electrician/id so many times that one the day the lights are being installed, they gave me a call to say they did not cover it........... lilithfiend 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2010 went up my place today. saw that painter is working on smoothening my walls. so i was mistaken, he only start work today. but when i went back in the evening I can see quite a bit of progress but too dark to take pics. sorry guys! One more happy thing, window grilles are up and they are so nice n new! Lights from A Lighting have arrived and will be installed this sat. Sammy yours will finish faster than me liao! I got my lights delivered too! I am actually pretty happy with A Lighting service, they called advance and they do cater to your time rather the other way round. My wall sanding and painting started on wednesday, still painting the first coating. I will only paint finish on sat. Cos each room is different color. I did not do rewire cos my flat is 8 yrs old only. we did not see the need. Edmund also advise not to waste the $$, can do the next time we wan to re-reno Mylica, sorry for no pics the past week cos we always go up when it's dark so with a iphone, there are limitations. samgalz 2 Report post Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) hehehe...thanks yuene mylica & lilith! ya, am pretty pleased to c the walls smooth smooth de. esp aft hacking the cornice away i was very worried the walls will remain "moon-rocked" cos edmund says the binding glue used was very strong for our case. but am so pleased Ah Kim (the painter) was able to acheive this! 3 cheers! nope, no change window, it's pretty ok condition. but we will be peeling off the obiang sun-x. decided to do ourselves cos edmund says not worth getting his guy to do, gonna charge me $200+, some more edmund cost to cost wor. so we are gonna find one weekend to work on it.... samgalz 2 Report post Posted July 5, 2010 (edited) PROGRESS Quite a bit of things done over the weekend. Lights installed but not all lighted yet as electrician found some prob in my electrical. first coat of paints up liao. painter will be back for second coat at a later stage. the Ah Nehs will be coming to clear the corrugated board and all debris either today or tmr and acid washing will commence either tmr or wednesday. went up this morning and saw that my bedroom doors are here. door gate have arrived over the weekend and the plumber uncle is installing piping for my toilets. lights in MBR living room my bedroom door met up with Mr Chew and has confirmed with him on the curtains. He is very nice to accomodate my short notice and he made very good reccomendations for my needs and matches to my wall colours. Will be having Day & Nite curtain for living, Day plus Double Layer blockout nite curtain for study (for sound absorption), blockout roller blind for MBR & son's room.
