Poor thing! rest more and get well soon! Since now you cannot start your reno early, take it easy okie. You are doing the full scale overhaul on your new place, and i think 8 weeks is sorta standard period. If it is much shorter, you also will worry if they do a good job or steal works minus ingredients to speed up the time taken to complete the works.
reuben82 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2010 Dont be so sian... Firstly, take good care of yourself first and get well soon! Next, take it easy on your reno.....2 months reno work only and you will spend maybe 5 years inside that house! So, I think worth it! At least, you got your things start going....So, don't worry too much!

samgalz 2 Report post Posted May 18, 2010 (edited) thanks for the concern all~! sianz is because partly we have agreed to loan a rm to our friend who needs to shift out of his house end July and previously we estimated enough time to reno... partly is due to seller giving us empty promises and making us having hope. also sianz and worried cos 4 August is 1 week before 7th month. if any delay means i can only move in after 7th month wor!!!! not so worried abt the things cos my contractor is helping to expedite works by going thru everything with us and confirming all designs and colours etc before start reno so tat once start is full steam ahead. he aso sianz that the seller fly our kite... ngunadi 2 Report post Posted May 19, 2010 I think the 8 weeks period should have include buffer from Edmund. He should be able to finish it up in 6 weeks.
fencer 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2010 Hi samgalz, Hope u get well soon.. sorry was bz fighting fire elsewhere in Spore.. Ha.. Take this moment to have a good resting and watch tv/movies.. HA.. Is better that you got more time now to go through with Edmund slowly on on what is going to happen, mayb in greater detail if possible so u can help "jaga" the pl if edmund is not there.. Ha... The 8 weeks shld be including any rectifications needed that might happen shld the workers mishandle some things.. so if sui sui like ngunadi said.. 6 weeks wld complete.. after that would be major clean up.. To make things faster near the end, create a list of things to check or watch out for.. Ha.. ideally of coz is better to make sure is right the 1st tm but u never knw mah.. if cannot, solve asap or within that week coz u b moving on to others items.. and rem to write down what rectification to follow up on.. Hope to see pics of your beautiful home soon...
