Our New Home At Pasir Ris

Recommended Posts

First update after confirmation of my ID. the revised floor plan.

1. Hack of kitchen wall to create more space for dinning area.

2. Change of common toilet entrance.

After much discussion, we decided to keep minimum build-in stuff in our reno. (In fact, only display cabinet in study room and wardrobe in MBR).

Below is the revised floor plan:

love the space of ur kitchen..

do u require your study room? cos i would hack the study room and make it even spacious.

Yes.. i need some private space LOL

coz wife wanna reserve the other two bedrooms for our 2 kids... i got no choice but to keep all my stuff in the study room.

That's why i will have a build-in display cabinet in the study room. and i still need to squeeze my PS3 + 32in LCD TV, computer table and bookshelf into the study room.... :bangwall:

Latest info from my property agent: Owner will handover the key on 16 Jun. So hopefully my reno will kick off on 18 Jun as planned.

11 days to GO!

By the way, wife wanted to get additional system 2 to aircon our living and dining area. Suddently we read a lot bad reviews for ALLBEST aircon in renotalk forums :furious: .... wonder whether we should give up the deposit paid (S$350) and choose for other company. it is kinda risky to get a system 4 + another system 2 from a company with such bad reputations...... :bath:

Reno has been delayed due to some issues with the previous owner, who called HDB officer to cancel our 2nd appointment just 2 days before the actual appointment date.

And the best part is that the previous owner did that without even discussing with us...... My wife and I were so upset about it...We even consider the option to call off the resale deal..

To keep the long story short, finally my agent manged to resolve it for me and got the key.

Reno will officially kickoff tomorrow.... hopefully my ID still can HO before 7month...

Took some photos during our final inspection:

wow the floor tiles are still in good condition

Yeah... the floor tiles are in good condition, which is also one of the reason for us to choose this flat.

But after consider it has been used for 13 years, we decided to change it to save any potential problem :)

13 yrs is really a long time. but if the tiling system does not fail, it should last as long at it should i.e more than 13 years

also noticed the floor are of smaller tiles which I suppose is pretty "in" at that "era".

is the same story for my case too. nice floor tiles but am redoing it too.
