mountainsmith 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Hi fellow T-Blog forumers. I thank the administrator for creating an informative portal for fellow houseowners like myself. This portal has been exceptionally helpful in my pursuit of searching for a reliable ID, contractor, designs by reading on the experiences of the forumers had in building their home. So, I decided to create a T-BLOG myself so that I can get opinions from fellow forumers. Yet to select any ID yet. I have balloted for a 5rm flat during the OCT 2009 balance of flats exercise and attained queue number 0001 for the purpose of selection of a house. I then paid the option fee for the purchase of the interested 5 rm flat. 1st appointment was on 18th Jan 2010, now awaiting for the good office of HDB to inform me of my 2nd appt. Here is the floor plan of the flat that I purchased from HDB I have yet to select any ID.. Went to a couple the past few weeks or so. 1) Chew Interior _ price rather on the high side and the comments from fellow forumers does not seem so positive 2) Outlook Interior_er.. the ID could not match up to our requirements and was trying to influence us with his ideas which we disagree. 3) Darwin Interior_price on high side as well, however the ID gave very practical ideas and drew some designs to "make space out of space" ie a mini study corner in MBR which we kinda like. 4) Received a call from Citrus Box when we email them for quotation, mentioned tat they will email me the quotation and arrange for meetup last week, yet no calls thereafter. wonder why... Anyways I am still on the lookout for a good id. Basically the plans for the house is to do a total revamp and renovate it to have a Modern Victorian look. Will be uploading pics of the current state of my house soon. Meanwhile, feel free to drop comments on which ID I should look at. Cheers~
eugela 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Congrats to your new home, your layout seems to be exactly similar to mine, not sure about the size though. Take your time to select an ID which you feel most comfortable with. Happy Reno

mountainsmith 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 (edited) Im currently looking at a Victorian Theme with a slight touch of modern look so that I do not have spend heftily on baroque furnitures and attain comfort out of furniture. This pic was extracted from Earnest Interiors(im not a promoter of them, just citing the source) Thinking of playing around with mirrors to suit the theme as well, like the pic below. and this kinda feel Any IDs you can recommend who can provide me with the service? Hi, You can try The Interior Library. They are located at The Plaza (next to the Furniture Mall). They specialise in such classic designs. I'm had my place designed by their ID (our theme is modern classic) and am using the contractors he normally liaise with. Do PM me if you want more details
