Unless the price is referring to display piece. The prices if I recall correctly, is around $1099 thereabouts at Best Denki for stainless steel and slightly cheaper for black. The neighbourhood shops still offer better prices than Best Denki/HN/Courts. I bought this and it has been delivered, but have not switched on yet, so cannot comment. End of this year will be 3 years. Forgot if it is 4 ticks or 3 ticks but so far its good. I like the simplistic design and space can put many food! But i think a little bit noisier when the fridge start up, after a while it fades away. My mum's Mitsubhi very old model did sound quieter. But my fridge is tuck in a corner so no problem with it. Thanks.Only on appearance... motor/compartment are all the same.Those with 'x' is stainless steel. Without 'x' is either white or silver color.R-Z"G" is front glass panel and it is only black color. mysapporo 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2014 I am thinking of getting one of these three Hitachi MIJ models: R-S42CMS R-SF45DMS R-D5000S Have checked out Gain City, Harvey Norman, Best Denki, Mega Discount Store and Courts (they don't seem to carry Hitachi fridges), and found that the price at HN Expo Sale is the best. Anybody could share your experience of using the above models? for SF45 and D5000S, there is a vacuum compartment. Do you really think it is a useful function?
