It is ethical to get your own electrician because ultimately the contractor knows you're going for the best price. It'ld be good to have a contractor that can work with your electrician. My electrician did all electrical works after the wet works before carpentry went up. Coordination was done by the site manager in charge of my reno, so I didn't actually have to tell my electrician when to come. I hope you'll have a pleasant reno journey. Clementi_PR 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 Halo All, Yesterday signed my contract. Finger cross Got more discount although not as i wanted. I saw the unit they just finished on Sat. Their workmanship quite good, the owner of the house give a good feedback, he said the work on schedule, small problem occurred but quickly fix. Maybe i will update on the layout design, hopefully the 3rd week or around end of month. Now i got to apply the reno loan with bank I have told the id that i will blog the process in RT. I just heard something like T tiles shop (for tiles) for bathroom accessories and lighting he did not mention any shop name. As far as you know, is the building have a lot shop? Last week bought home appliances. Last 2 week chose the tiles for living room, kitchen and bathroom. Next week will start hacking. Anyway, this is the schedule from Jasper for my reno: 22 Mar - 24 Mar - Hacking 25 Mar - 8 Apr Wet Work 9 Apr - Acid Wash 10 Apr - Plumbing, Measure carpentry, bi-fold, bedroom door, toilet louver 12 Apr - Plumbing, Electrical Work 13 Apr - Plumbing, Ceiling Work 12 Apr - Electrical Work 15 Apr - 17 Apr - Painting Work 19 Apr - 20 Apr Installation of Carpentry 21 Apr - Measure solid surface 22 Apr - Install bi-fold, bedroom door 24 Apr - Install solid surface 26 Apr - General cleaning 27 Apr - 28 Apr - Touch up work I hope the work will be execute according to schedule.
