I m staying in a 4rm resale flat n my kitchen is kinda of old thou de kitchen cabinet that is left by the previous owner still can be use. My plan is to remove all the cabinet in the kitchen and replace a new one but just a few top n bottom cabinet cause I don't like to have alot of empty cabinet , the stove area and the sink that all. Due to budget wise I thought of getting a soild top for my kitchen may I know roughly how much will it cost TIA Edited January 28, 2010 by beanbeanlim
omelil 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 Hi Lim, pricing for cabinets usually calculated in per foot run. 30 centimeters is 1 feet. if your cabinet is 3 meters long then it will be calculated as 10 feet. top cabinet 3 meters 10 feet, bottom cabinet 3 meters another 10 feet, tat equals to 20 feet. Most carpenters charge between 75 to 90 dollars pfr for standard specs. $90 pfr will be $1800 for a 20 feet kitchen cabinet EXCLUDING solid surface top. solid surface top cost from $65 to $80 pfr depending you are getting from a contractor or from a ID firm. At $80 pfr, a 10 pfr solid surface top will be $800. The pricing above usually does NOT include disposal of your existing kitchen cabinets. that is a seperate charge. fyi base on my own experience

serene_lml 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 Thank you for the info given... My budget is less than 5k just for doing the kitchen is it possible? Under 5k is possible if u do not request some expensive surface top like marble and solid wood cabinet. My contractor recently finish one of my friend old house kitchen, and he take extra effort to reconnect the electrical cable and power ppint (he work as an engineer last time), which save her some money.
