Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

Stainless steel is normally use as alumn corrode faster.

The width of the s/s depends on the thickness of the tiles.

Grade 304 is good enough and comes in finishing of 2B(unpolished), 4B, Hairline and BA x L4000mm

The smallest width is 3mm x 6mm.

One important thing to take note when buying this is to ask for original all sides straight 90 degree as some company sell those shear from plate with sharp cutting edges.

Another thing is, bracketry must be welded to it for the tile to 'sit' on it so that it won't not comes off easily.

Check with Hong Hock and Lian Soon, get the 4B finishing(close to hairline).

By the way, contractor normally order this from metalcraft factory, not only because of of welding, cutting is also a problem.

whats it called? is it a bar or hollow section?

so i buy it at standard 4m length, you mentioned that cutting is a problem?

so if i get the bar,i need to weld my own bracketry on it?

It is called Flat bar. I think now the price is roughly about $25/- per length.

If you are using hack saw, it is better to get the white colour bi-metal saw blade, about $3/- as the material is very hard.

You can try w/o the bracketry.

In the market, tig welding services of alumn, brass and s/s are very rare unlike the mig & arc welding for metal.

Any pic to show?

How about the installation?

Do we install or contractor will do it for us?

contractor will slip it in during the tiling process

Discuss with your contractor before you buy the flat bar.

These stripes are normally use on granite and marble flooring as its has all edges straight and 90 degree.

Ceramic tile have arc edges, the finishing is not that good.
