Hdb Clothes Hanger

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

One of the few stuff my ID pissed me off ...

Carpenter took out the clothes hanger and upon completion of carpentry work, they cant fix it back by saying the screw broke ... ?!

I was told to buy my own screw as my ID said it is a special kinda screw for such HDB issued clothes hanger. She wanna replace it with a typical 70's clothes hanger whick is such an eye sore ...

Today visited 3 hardware shops but non sells that kind of screw. Any1 know whr can I get them ?

Thx in advance.

If this screw is not available, then you should consider using a standard nut and bolt which can pass thru the hole. Tell the id or contractor to hack off the excess length of the bolt so that it is flush with the nut and does not protrude out.

The mounting screw

Hmm this is the problem, I guess the screws were discarded during the reno, so I have no idea hw it looked like :(

Only the hanger and the bracket were left behind ...... haizzz .......

Take a picture of the hole with the insert. If it is using the colour jute and with the screw broken in it, just pull out the whole thing.

If using steel plug, take a close-up of the thread to see whether it is BSW or uf thread.

Measure the diameter of the hole of the bracketry. I might be able to guess.

Good news, no need to take any picture.

Saw my hanger is of the same type and decided to do you a favour and at the same time wipe the sewage piping.

I unscrew the the brackety to remove the hanger and saw the bracket is actually fasten to the wall plug.

So what u need to do is unscrew the bracketry, with its screw, test it onto the hole of the bracket to see what size of wall plug to use. I think is 6mm.

Get the heavy duty black colour type.
