Warrior88 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2010 Manage to change all 3 by myself. What you need is a long nose plier, adjustable spanner & phillips head screw driver. Material Letter - $3 or $15 ( good type ) door - $10 gate - $ 12 After unscrew, just watch carefully which part fit to where and the rest is a breeze. Don't need a lot of technical skill. Next task, gonna change all the 3 bedroom lock. Might be a bit catchy. Will try 1 door first Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

gimz63251073 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2010 my case was because the previous owner lost the key, so had to get the guys down. They used a drill to drill through the keyhole and took quite a while. After that fixing the lock was done in 5mins. If i shift house next time, i might give it a try! Just for fun. dean 5 Report post Posted April 3, 2010 (edited) today i pass by the key duplicate shop selling locks and i show him the letterbox keys, so i bought same type new letter box lock at $21 and it is quite easily to change. Save lock smith charge $80. The key got "Real" and it is round type, I have old letter box lock come with 2 keys good condition to sell away. I can let go cheap.
