DL838 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 My mum's sink drainage is badly choked & I called up a plumber who came to fix the problem yesterday. He cleared some debris from the pipe but water is not flowing. In fact, I think it has gotten worse than before he came, water was flowing very slowly before but it seems stagnant in the sink now. He knew he couldn't solve the problem, so charged me for the trap he changed & left me a messy & dirty kitchen to clean. We tried various methods ourselves but water is still not flowing. Also, due to the way the pipe is run around the kitchen before reaching the outlet, we think we need some professional help. Anyone could recommend a plumber or a professional person trained in clearing choked pipes?
gladyslim 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 (edited) If you had change the bottle trap & clear the pipe, maybe is chokage at the floor trap with harden oil. Make a small bend on a teaspoon, tie it onto a pole to scoope the harden residue, you might need to knock a little to break the oil block. How much you pay for the replacement of bottle trap? Actually for chokage or leakage, there's no need to change for a new bottle trap. Loosen the screw on the sink that mount onto the trap, loosen the bottle trap; first point under the sink, second on the neck, third, the horizontal pipe and lastly the bottom part of the bottle. It is very simple to do. Edited January 19, 2010 by gladyslim
