ricanne 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2010 Hi, where can I buy the Jacobsen Swan and Jacobsen Egg chair in Singapore? What's the price range like? Thanks i've seen similar ones at Comfort. check out their website: http://www.comfortfurniture.com.sg/
gakuseisean 4 Report post Posted January 17, 2010 You can find the original ones, manufactured by Fritz Hansen, at Space Furniture. Not sure about the price range though. If you're looking for knockoffs, there are some at Evov and Lush, both of which I feel are comparable in terms of quality.

erwin123 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2010 Looking to do a group buy from CHina for these furniture...anyone interested? the problem with group buy is that if there are defects how to rectify - have to send back to China? But if the actual savings for swan is more than $100 (i.e GST/freight+chari), I would be interested in getting another and take my chances. But Egg more risky, more complicated chair, more things can go wrong (eg: the lever can come off... )

soulite 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2012 You can definitely try going for a group buy in china but provided you have been to china and view their chair and order and ship from there when you were there. Many versions of the eggchairs are around and quality really deviates from each other. When there is problem with the chair, rest assured that they will not respond much to you unless you are gonna order from them again. This is china, i have my bad fair share in ordering from them already.I rather spend abit more to buy from singapore directly. My 2 cents worth! cheers!
QUOTE (erwin123 @ Sep 4 2010, 01:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

the problem with group buy is that if there are defects how to rectify - have to send back to China? jo27 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) I've been looking for an egg chair for some time and finally got one from www.thedesignerchair.com. I've got it in "Premium leather", so I can't speak about fabric, but for leather the quality is very good, better than the one in Lush and in IMM. The size, shape, foot are like the original and I'm very happy with the leather quality and stitching. I've waited 7 weeks for mine - I think they make to order, like most of the other shops. jo27 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2013 They don't have a showroom, just an office in battery road. I ordered the chair on their website, got an e-mail confirmation. I went to pay by cheque at their office. I buy a lot of stuff on internet so I'm quite ok with the no-showroom when the price is cheaper. The delay is quite long but i was quoted the same at Lush and Picket and rail... I guess they all make to order at the end. Someone from the company called me to arrange the delivery. The chair was in a box, wrapped and with protections on the feet and on the top. The chair feels solid, it has the tilt and swivel (a detail but it's important for me). The leather is very soft, fine grain and relatively matt. The stiching is clean. I'm not an expert but I would not make the difference with an original.Tailgas, to answer your question, no, I don't work for them ! I've just bought a chair ;0) and I don't think they are linked to Studio 61, the two companies have quite different catalogs.
