The Pinnacle @ Duxton - S2

Recommended Posts

Hi fftw

am asking on behalf of my colleague who has also got a unit at the Pinnacle..

she was told by her ID that to build a full height cabinet, she needs to put chemical on existing wall tiles, then plaster to build wall.. this costs about $900.. did you have to do the same? or just build on the wall tiles?

tks

I have no idea what my contractor did to tell you the truth. I left it to him & he quote me a price for all the capentry. He never mentioned anything to me about the chemical wash.

hi gal,

am planning to purchase the citygas heater and dryer. Am also staying in pinnacle. Any problems with them? Seeing that the heater has to be installed in the yard, would the flame be extinguished easily, every time the wind blows? and am also eyeing on the 6door panansonic fridge... any advice? Thanks.

I have no issues with my City Gas Dryer. But if you wish to install the City Gas Heater make sure you insist that City Gas install the heater as high as possible, rather than at eye level. Otherwise, the flame will constantly be extinguished.

As mentioned in my blog, we installed the gas heater higher than what is recommended by the City Gas technician (which is much lower) as his recommendation will mean that the heater is constantly in our faces when we open the yard door. It was a blessing that we didn't listen to him. The only issue with installing the gas heater much higher is that you should not use the laundry pole closest to the gas heater, in case whatever you are hanging chases fire.

just grind and plaster. can be done in 1-2 days. $900 is too much for the work.

I know so expensive right?!?! We bought it for our 1st home way back when we are DINKS & earning super high salary. Even then, also feel the pain. But the good news is that its really value for $$$. It has been with us for such a long time & it goes with everything in all our homes :)

Yes, I saw one that is at $30 but it only comes with kitchen paper/foil/cling wrap. So decided to pay for slightly more so that is a compartment for my plastic role & sticky tape :)

nope, mine has compartment for plastic roll & sticky tape and a small tray too. same as yours, i think

What a bargain! Things at Taka is also expensive, even after discount. But since I have the voucher, I thought just buy stuff there. The next time I need to buy the hanging system will get it from the website you mentioned :)

Dear Pinnacle Residents,

recently i just install a water heater storage type. But i notice one thing for my flat, in order to turn on the water heater i can only on it using the heater switch locate near the living room.

But the swtich outside the common toilet and MBR toilet can't turn on the storage heater.

Anyone encounter the same also?

was told that if install storage type, the only way to on is via the switch near living room

the switch for common and MBR is for those who wanna install individual instant heater.

Can verify whether is it true?

Thanks

hi rxxxx,

you are right, the only way to turn on the storage heater is from the switch in the living room. dun understand why they design it this way though.

the switches outside the toilets are for instant heater only.

Hi fttw

I checked the IKEA bathroom sink and the width was 100cm.

However, yours seem shorter as the IKEA standard 100cm has lots more space on the right side of the bowl.

Did you cut the sink?

What is your dimension now?

how much did your contractor charge you for the bottom drawers?

Can you upload pictures of the drawers when opened ?

Thanks!

i believe gas heater shouldnt have such issue, gas heater likely prob maybe the strong wind extinguishing the flame. perhaps fftw maybe in a better position to advise you as hers is a city gas heater.
