The Pinnacle @ Duxton - S2

Recommended Posts

After confirming our flat in early 2008, I have been surfing the net for ideas, tips, information, etc. Thanks to everyone's recommendations, I gain heaps of knowledge and contacts for all kinds of items for my renovation. For this I am extremely grateful. So I am starting this t-blog in order to "pay it forward" :)

We got our keys on Dec 13 from MM Lee so the process begin on Jan 04. First up, my floorplan... erhm... can someone teach me how to do it?

We got keys on the same day!!! I'm not at Pinnacle @ duxton tho.. :P

Was looking at buying The beacon last year (condo just across Cantoment road) from Pinnacle.. thankfully didnt get.. the view of shophouses in Chinatown + raffles place 80% blocked by u guys.. the units i wanted could possibly look thru the 2 "holes" in Pinnacle and get a sneak preview only.. haha

Anyway, congrats on ur new home.. hows the layout in the apt? Isit as small like a condo as what everyone i knew claimed?

Wah Pinnacle! You stay high floor?

Heard that there's a roof garden at the top floor?

I am staying at an ok floor. Its above 20 but below 30.. You guess :)

There is a running track cum out-door gym cum playground for residents on level 25 and a awesome roof garden on level 50 :)

On no! What happened? Did you buy The Pinnacle @ Duxton too? Is everything resolved yet or still pending?

I know you jot a place at Mohd Sultan right? The Beacon is a horrible condo. In front is block by The Pinnacle and behind its going to be block by another condo. Thank goodness you didn't buy The Beacon!

Mine is a 5 room so its not as bad as a 4 room apartment. However as compared to the old 5 roomers, its definately small. My place is 105 sqm. I am currently renting a 1600 sqft apartment, so its quite a big change. But what to do, I am stubborn and insist on buying a HDB! We sold our condo a while ago and has been renting when the opportunity came to purchase such a prime location, though HDB, I can't let the boat sail without me :)

Aiyah, I am so silly. You are right, the running track is on level 26. I keep thinking its on level 25 cos its at mid level and the top level is level 50!

Yea my new place's at Mohd Sultan.. definitely a more ex but better buy than Beacon!! I didnt know there were plans to build anything on the back of it.. thought it was a government land which is used for soccer and meant to stay green? Thank goodness my deal fell thru!!!

5 room flat 105 sqm is not too big considering most HDBs will have that as 4 room flat size but i guess if its still a small family/just 2 of u that size is aplenty! But movin from a 1600 sqft to a much smaller place must mean throwing out lotsa stuffs!!!

I always thought there's a HDB rule that u cant ballot for a new HDB project if u have ever owned a private? or is the rule not in force anymore/at all? Will be fantastic if so, HDBs are by far the best prop investments if its bought in a good location direct from the govtment.....sure win investment!! Too bad i'm single and my folks have their own so no chance in getting even a resale one unless i turn 35 tomorrow.
