Lubber Duckie 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 Some call it poured concrete, some call it concrete screed. a) So what's the difference? I'm hoping to achieve a smooth and matt look. b) What are the important tips for a successful concrete flooring. c) What is the sealant/finishing that is required to waterproof the floor? d) What are the pros and cons of concrete flooring? I'm buying a 3 room flat and would like to do concrete flooring for the living room and bed rooms. I need your advice. Thank you! Here is an example of what I'm looking for. PinkMartiniFan 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 Just noticed your post. I've also been looking into doing a polished concrete flooring and acid staining for my HDB 3-room. So far only found one company that sells the acid stains. Another company that sounds like they will do the flooring but still talking with them. Tempted to DIY with my contractor but will be risky. Can't seem to find the grinding equipment. Lots of info on www. Also book and DVDs. The popularity is about 10 years old though. Still tracking down actual projects done in SG to take a look. yuene 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 Hey guys, I'm also thinking to do concrete screed flooring for my entire house (living, kitchen and 2 bedrooms). I think there's more houses with these types of floorings being featured in magazines like Square Rooms... Let me check and see..
Lubber Duckie 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Hey guys, I'm also thinking to do concrete screed flooring for my entire house (living, kitchen and 2 bedrooms). I think there's more houses with these types of floorings being featured in magazines like Square Rooms... Let me check and see.. Home & Decor January issue has samples, but not Square Rooms this month don't have any. I've checked with contractors, there's mainly 2 types of finishing, "glossy" and stained. It's also cheaper than any tiles, and does not need any skirting.
MohGuan 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2010 I like polished concrete flooring but I'm afraid not many contractors out there who can do a good job. Has anyone of you tried the concretre flooring and is happy with the workmanship?
