lapena 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 It's a shag. quite thick. r u allergic? other than carpets whats the flloring like? marble, parquet? N sze of ur house etc? Generally, u need a vacuum cleaner with a turbo-brush to spin the pet fur and dander out of the carpet. If its for a big house, a stronger powered one might be better. Most importantly, ur budget? If u need a good one, there is a bagless brand called dyson animal , or bagged Miele cat and dog! Both are expensive but very good!

I checked out dyson. even the promo model is very expensive. the pet hair attachment looks like it helps brush animal fur out of carpet and the suction cleans it up. I would think that any vacuum cleaner with strong enough suction will do the job. if pet fur gets in too deep, brush it out before using the vacuum cleaner might work as well. :-)
