Yeah I am really looking forward to stay in Yishun! I stay nearer to St 21/22.. Think there are many quieter places to explore..the jams at CTE is crazy...even during weekends...rather time consuming but guess this is part of Yishun life!

I think these glass tiles are available in most of the tile shops. However the design variety may vary. I got mine from Lian Seng Hin Trading Co Pte Ltd (568A Balestier Road, Singapore 329885).

Hope it helps!

For weekends, maybe you can try the thompson road to orchard, should be very much faster..

ossify! how's ur platinum teak laminate???

the sales person at FloorOption reduced his quote from $4.5psf to $4.3psf...

but he reduced my floor space also in his calculations...wonder what is he up too..haha

YNWA,

El Nino

it's very very good :D soaked 2 days no bubbles. see my tblog for latest pics.

who's your sales person?

why is it so expensive? are you getting the Pergo Expression range?

why reduced floor space? did he calculated wrongly or you decided to do less?

well, keys can't scratch it, only when i use cleaver then i see fine marks, but when i touch it, i don't feel it. i soak it in water for 2 days, no change observed :D

yes, it's better quality than 'normal' laminates.

We were in love with these lightings.... hahaha

For masterbed room...

P1080083.jpg

I bought a pair of these the moment I saw it, not knowing where to put them....after discussion, putting this red one at the main entrance to the house....and the blue one before the entrances to the bedrooms...

P1080082.jpg

The living room lighting is an artichoke lamp which should look like this....this is our main "investment"...hope all turn out fine.

Hihi, where did you get your lightings from? Your artichoke lamp is beautiful!

Hi Dugong,

Any progress update? I've been waiting to see how your house would turn out. Hope everything is well.

Hi babyleomummy, not that smooth sailing...in fact only completed the whole thing 2 weeks ago, had been busy unpacking etc..haven't taken any photos on the final finish...but will load up a few interim ones that i have taken earlier on...

As my basic designs are round cabinets, there are diffculties with regards to the carpentry work which i can explain better with the full finish cabinets...but just to share a few layout concept

Shoe Cabinet that is just enough for a family of four.."breathing holes" are made available on the right side at every shelf level.

IMG_0148.jpg

One side of my kitchen cabinet, missing the other side whereby I have my washing machine, oven and fridge...will share that again.

IMG_0151.jpg

Kids' cabinet layout. Drawers and top shelves are important...as well as space to hang their nicer clothes

Eh for the kitchen photos, please delete all those clothings and mess....

P4200013.jpg

Just to share that as I am worried that my kids will fiddle with the gas tank..this is what i did to my cabinet which allows me to lock it up

Notice all the messy wirings?

Now it looks neat and tidy, yet still can use remote control and see the digital clock on my scv hub!

Hi Dugong,

Your house looks bright and cheery. Just the way you wanted it to be. My hubby also into the bright and cheery theme because we have a growing son. For me, I more subdued...Hahah...So there are some attempts to brighten the house with colors. E.g balcony and study in lime green. Was in shock when I saw the effect. Tried to tame it down while still retaining my hubby's wish for a cheery house.

Looks like you had to move in before your capentry is completed. No worries, post us another update when your house is picture perfect when you have fully settled in.
