Custom Made Curtain (joining Fabric)

Just to check with you guys.

My custom made curtain has arrived. But upon inspection, I realise that the night curtain is not one piece but two pieces joined together.

I understand that day curtain can be a whole big piece. But night curtains, is it a norm for curtain pieces to be sewed together to form a bigger piece?

If i'm not mistaken, the fabric that are provided for the seamstress (or imported) are all a specific size. so if your window is bigger than this size, it will have to be 2 different pieces joined together.

i think that's the case. mine are joined together too.
