Actually, I want to say, the cable has no casing yet. Now the power cable is still dangling. This weekend, the electrician supposed to put some casing in it to make it nicer.

Cool white very suitable for kitchen coz of the cooking and baking u gna do there...if u know whr im heading...

Anyway, the pic on the right side is my pantry cabinet. The place for all the food stockpile. Currently my oven is sitting on top of a tile which sit on top of a domino pizza corrugated board. Have yet to put some padding on the tile so I don't need the corrugated board.

Anyone know whether I can polish the sharp edges of tile myself?

oh...was trying to say that cool white or daylight are good for kitchens coz u need these clear and bright lights when u cook or bake coz can see better whether the food has changed colour as it cooks...

Exactly my sentiment. That's why in kitchen, I ban all warm white bulb

I even returned IKEA lights when I realized it's using halogen which produces warm white (and all halogen can only produce warm white light).

Hey.. What is the reason for the oven to sit on a tile? Or is it a temporary measure? I thought the oven should have a "rubber leg" beneath to prevent it from scratching the solid surface top?

It's the ultimate kiasu. The oven has a rubber leg. However, i worry that the rubber leg does not elevate the oven high enough and the heat from the oven would affect my solid top. As you know, solid top is quite prone to heat.

Oh ok.. Maybe i should think of protecting the solid top too... The black rubber leg might cause a black mark on the white solid top under heat stress, right? haa.. Maybe can look for those place mat (which wont melt of course) to be placed below the oven.

Yes, a thick place mat/coaster will do. But difficult to find bah

S&C are delivering and installing my table now. Too bad can not see it.

But my mother said, the wooded table finishing is not very good. :(

I better take a good look tonight and scrutinize every angle.

I still want to see how the cable is covered,

cos, i use some lighting in the cabinet too,

but i am not realy sure what kind of cover they will use.

For the table, it will be better to put a glass on top of the wooden table.

Maintainance wise, it will be much more easy.

Nice to know your reno almost done.
