leafania 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2009 (edited) hi peeps ! any difference between direct drive motor n standard motor ??? abt washers someone say on web, direct drive motor slower than standard motor. eg: LG direct drive motor max spinning speed only up to 1400rpm! whereas MIELE standard motor cn go up to 1800rpm!! LG WASHER IS ORIGINALLY UNBALANCED THATS WHY LG IS ACTUALLY NOT TRUE BALANCE SYSTEM !!! see MIELE 1800rpm spin in action here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIIzCBEnNl0 smooth n steady ahem! chrysalis1972 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2009 hi there, was told by toshiba salesperson that DDM is less noisy than the standard motor (which i assume it's running on belt) as the former relies on tiny rollers.
