SGK 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2009 LoL, the area in CCK is quite "Barren" as compared to Tampines if you know what i mean Which i guess is why the value of flats is higher in Tampines. Also considering my soon-to-be flat to be around 18 years, i think that played a part in the somewhat low valuation. Anyway, i agree with you that prices of flats are really exorbitant nowadayz and there are still buyers willing to part with a high amount of cash. Which kept me wondering, was there ever a recession in Singapore during the last few months?! To say the least, i'm pretty sure you will find something out there soon. Keep me posted. The Tampines unit is also about 18 years old, but the owners said that they just spent 130k to renovate the house 2 years ago, which I strongly doubt because 130k is probably enough for them to have golden taps and door knobs . Here's a brief timeline of what has been going on the last couple of weeks. 30th Dec - 2nd Appointment (House officially ours) 30th Dec - Hacking started 31st Dec - Hacking Day 2 (Completion) 2nd Jan - Debris Cleared and Delivery of tiles 4th Jan - Tiling work started (Common Toilet, Master Toilet and Living Room) 6th Jan - Tiling work (Wall Tiles for Common & Master Toilet 90% up) (Floor Tiles for Living Room 35% done) 9th Jan - Tiling work (Tiling (Wall + Floor) for master toilet completed) (Study area Tiles up left skirting) (Living Room 40% done) Pictures will be uploaded pretty soon.
