A question to all the homeowners who have rugs in their livingroom. Are the rugs easy to maintain? Do they collect dust in our climate?

Rugs cleaning is no more a tough task. However if you have Indoor water fountain these may absorb moisture from the environment. so, drying these rugs become important for better life.

I vacuum it everyday to reduce trapped dust. Occasionally, shampoo it.

i prefer carpet to rugs. rugs get kicked around or will be all over the place while carpets stay in one place

i have a rug in my living room. i prefer rugs to carpets because they're less shaggy. plus i have a dog and he drops alot of hair, i don't want his hair to be caught in the carpet.

but you're right, rugs do get "moved" around alot.
