ltom 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2009 Bgt a resale flat in SK and was told by the owner that his bedroom floorings are teak Wooden Strips and not parquet. are there any difference? any advice? Parquet flooring are square panels made of up short strips of wood. As for the teak flooring, they're might be planks made of long strips of wood. Hope that helps. WH1988 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 thanks ! finally...someone replied, haha ! like wat u said, that also what i heard :0 so hav u got any idea wic is better? or more expensive? Hi Jk and Happy New Year to EVERYONE Well from what I know Teak Parquet flooring length can reach up to 1' less expensive and Teak Long strip flooring length can reach 9' or longer if you can get it to fit in a HDB lift. Which is better? Well Parquet flooring with shorter length means more joins and gaps but can be lay with more pattern. Check our the pattern design page at hauhau.com, you will see the different pattern of laying. As for Teak Long strip flooring it can be lay parallel or vertical towards the length of the side wall. It is usually more expensive to installed. To me I like Teak Long strip more because there is less joins and gaps and it make my room look bigger. Well the final choice is still up to you.
