ne0mesis 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2010 Hahaha . Yes, its very gratifying to see all that planning paid off. The knife block is WMF but the knives are from Global. IMHO, i think you only need two good knives, a chef and a santoku knife. They can pretty much handle anything. tat paid off feeling, i intending to own it. in aug tat is. ha cool. i intending to get 3 knifes for everything. wmf knives are really a looker, all stainless steel but cost 2 arms 2 legs. haha so yea, looking out for nice design knives too. thirdrockdweller 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2010 I have asked a few ID, all said cannot conceal haiz. Do u know what material they use to box up? Yes, they're correct. Newer HDBs (like ours) have concealed plumbing so it wasn't an issue. PVC piping from ceiling was covered with false ceiling.

Thanks very much. We're super excited about becoming parents! Left to the fridge is a full height larder unit where we store all our dry food stuff. As for the counter top, we went with granite. We use (abuse) the kitchen quite a bit, so we needed something sturdy . hey 3rd rock, where did you get your fridge from btw? Wanna get the same model too.. It's a Mitsubishi fridge; model MR-V50X. Mitsubishi gets top marks for all things refrigeration. We went with Mitsubishi air-conditioning too, and we're loving it!
thirdrockdweller 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2010 (edited) Hi folks, couple of updates; Our MBR bathroom Frosted glass door replaced the original bathroom door. This door swings outward. As explained earlier in the blog, swinging the door inwards causes major space issues. We're so happy with this workaround. With the door opened... Our oversized basin. Great for a careless splasher like me . Mirror/cabinet with backlighting. Other sources of lighting provided by overhead cove lighting.
