Thanks everyone for all the positive comments! We're glad that the renovation is almost complete. It has been a nerve-wrecking couple of months.

hey earthboy (nice nick, i wonder how many caught on)....

I think you're the first one! Great catch! :D

…the dining table came out fair-er than i thought it would though. any plans to stain it? it looks a bit too "white" for the surroundings, if u get what i mean. well, as long as you're happy with it!

Yikes, I believe its bad photography on my part. The table top is not as "fair" looking as depicted. It was a bad combination of warm lighting and over-exposure. I think I'll probably reshoot it with natural light during the day. As for it looking too "white", it was a conscious aesthetic decision that we made. We didn't want it to be too dark to provide a bit of contrast to the surroundings. Hence, we didn't stain the wood. We have however treated the table top with wax and it will, in time, darkens the wood.

Hi thirdrock, welcome back. love your pics. what's up with the hob? why not installed yet? would the ID need to remove the solid top and reseal again after putting in hob?

Sheesh… the hob is in backorder. Won't be in till mid June. Gerrr. There will be no need to remove the top though to install the hob. Phew.

Nice dining table!!Am i seeing 2 pieces of solid wood for the top? Did you source for the wood or any of the materials on your own? If you can add the dimensions of the wood that would be best

Haha... lots of questions hope you don't mind.

Not at all :). Actually, the table is made up of 4 separate pieces of wood. Got the table tops from Ikea (VIKA FURUSKOG table top 200x60 cm pine) @ $75/piece. We then have our contractor cut the wood to size. Our table measures 190x95 cm. The legs were custom made.

Very nice and organised..luv it, especially the spice racks. Are those from IKEA?

Good eye! :D Yes, there are from Ikea. Ribba picture ledge.

The Eubiq costs $260. Yes, the washer and dryer were already plugged in before carpentry began. Due to space constraint, the cabinet housing the washer/dryer was built around the appliances.

Thanks very much patsy_sg. We're still in the midst of unpacking/organizing the rest of our stuff. Not every part of the place is picture worthy yet (Messy!!!!). Once everything is sorted out, there'll definitely be more pics :) .

We're Home!!!

Apologies for the lack of updates but recent weeks have been a hectic mix of work and more work. I had literally no time to document the reno. Anyway, we've moved into our new home although there is still a couple of loose ends to tie up renovation wise.

Here are some pics for the time being;

Hahaha :D . Yes, its very gratifying to see all that planning paid off. The knife block is WMF but the knives are from Global. IMHO, i think you only need two good knives, a chef and a santoku knife. They can pretty much handle anything.

Grats on finally seeing the fruits of your labour! Your place looks great. Especially like the dining room - love that light, and where did you get that funky clock? :)

Say, your kitchen sink mixer looks familiar - is that the Hansgrohe Variac Kitchen Mixer with Pull Out / Spray??

Ok, post more pix of the rest of the house soon! :good:

My wife got the clock from XZQT. Can't remember how much though. Yes, the mixer is from Hangrohe. Variac with Pull-out spray - sharp eyes you got there!!!

Bought ours (model: SH1 - 1000 mm) from Homefix @ $260 and our electrician did the installation. 1 socket was included in the package. If its going for $199 now, grab it :D
