Cos recently i ordered my black flooring tiles from HU* K***G, then when the tiles came, The packaging states porcelain tiles.. Are they the same? SolutionProvider 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2009 U can try out splashing water onto the tiles. Homogenenous tile has a very low water absorption rate. bepgof 20 Report post Posted December 2, 2009 Pocelain tile = ceramic tile. Water absorption <0.5%. Good for wall application, not for flooring. Ceramic layer will "chipp off" easily, due to hi-temp treatment during formation. Sharp/heavy object fall upon will leave unreversible "marks".
