SGBuzz 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2009 (edited) Okie Okie after weeks of searching finally signed and paid a deposit for the services of a Renovation company. The search wasn't easy limited by limited budget and lack of feel good factors from certain ID. The very 1st one was immediately drop because they were just interested in selling us a package The 2nd one was introduced by a friend, we expect to be quite economical (read cheap) but turns out the other way The 3rd was good, had a good feel with the team that was helping us but the quotes were out of budget The 4th was a Super Star Soon type of contractor, not really that much cheaper and i had to communicate with him in Teo Chew! The 5th was a contact that i got from Fei Mei, got pretty good vibes with that person but still ....... The 6th and last was a fren brother and wah that one also very ex but pro lah And then got turned down by 2 cause they have no time for me So in the end we split up the whole renovation works. 1 main guy to do all the wet works and etc while another to handle the carpentry works. So the main con is Hamed from CI and we are getting our Carpentry work from Reich Kitchen (spin off from Classic Kitchen). SGBuzz 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2009 1st Appt over but meeting the lawyer was depressing. Basically taking loan from the bank they make it sound the bank has all the rights and you have none. And we are the ones paying But then bright spot of the day was the very very nice HDB officer. The funny thing was that she did both my current unit selling the and buying of my new one! Talk about coincidence.
