SGBuzz 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 Update... Suntec C3 Sale + Air Cons! After that I went to Suntec for the C3 Electronics and Electrical Sale. Well, nothing much caught my eye. I did talk to an aircon man from Best Tech who recommended me LG's Non Inverter Sys 3, $50 lighting voucher + $120 servicing voucher @ $1650 nett (exclu bracket) Thank goodness I didnt buy cos when I got back online, I realised LG is not a good brand. I think I shall consider Toshiba. Toshiba's non inverter has 3 ticks and Mitsubishi's non inverter has 2 ticks. I decided not to get Inverter cos inverter is $1K more ex than non inverter and the savings from 3 ticks to 4 ticks is $243 PER YEAR (assuming you on the air con for 8 hours a day every day). To make my 1K worth it, I have to use this air con for more than 4 yrs...! Doesn't sound very $-wise of me to spend cash upfront this way esp when I am literally quite poor now. Yup i have also decided not to spend the extra on inverter as well as thicker insulation. Hope it wont come back and bite me then really

annjoy 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 Hi everyone!! Thanks for coming by and the happy wishes! It's still all very surreal to me. It felt like I waited forever for this date and finally when it arrived, it feels unreal. Hehehe! I saw a lot of people posting pics of their hacked houses and today I just posted mine! The feeling is amazing. Today I also quickly went to apply for an account with Singapore power. Was worried that there might be a disruption to electricity but thank god that they informed me there won't be. After applying for Ultitilies, I saw that City Gas has a showroom with loads of hobs and hoods!! Here is my finding: 0% installment with DBS and UOB cards Ellane Hood EH-2988 (720 suction power with auto cleaning) Ellane Hob EGH-28 (2 burner with schott glass - lifetime warranty on glass) TOTAL: $608 nett Is it cheap?? Rinnai is extremely expensive! And the sales lady told me that Rinnai's inner flame does not save gas because the distance between where the gas comes out of and your pot is really big and therefore it takes a long time to heat something up wor. In any case, Ellane is not too bad right?
annjoy 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2009 Oh dear... Goh Ah Bee is selling this same model of Ellane Hob and Hood at $570nett Payment terms: Cash or Cheque. Should I take up the "free installment" for 6% more by going with City Gas?

annjoy 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2009 Ellane hood and hob (EH-2988 & EGH-28) 1) Ban Kim Chuan - $590nett 2) Everjoint - $610nett 3) CityGas - $608nett (0% installment) 4) Goh Ah Bee - $570nett Sharp Healsio Water Oven (model: 1500) 1) Ban Kim Chuan - $1130 nett 2) Goh Ah Bee - $1180 nett 3) Everjoint - $1115 nett (does not include delivery) Contact of the "famous" electrical shops Ban Kim Chuan (64435298) Everjoint (64582531) Goh Ah Bee (62888611) *Calling them for prices makes price comparison so much easier! For me, at the end of the day, if I have cold hard cash, I can get a lot of things at $30-$100 cheaper. If not, then I guess I have to pay slightly more for a 0% installment. Agrees with mickey, if cash is not tight at all, pay out full in cash! Amyway, it's gonna choke-up your credit cards bill even if it's 0% installment.
