Hi all,

Bought a 3 room HDB resale at kallang. Our second house.It's a real old flat and I really need to do an overhaul but on the other hand was in a tight budget.

Hubby forbid me to spend too much this time. Hence, we wacky a few contractor firms but still cant meet our budget. In the end, my mum's neighbour

give us her contractor contact. We find it quite ok and most probably will engage them.

Meanwhile, can some kind soul advise if the total quotation of $19k is cheap for the overhaul?

hack and dispose floor tiles for living and bedrooms, kitchen wall tiles and floor tiles, window grills and all doors and frame, and gates

Overlay toilet wall tiles and floor tiles

Lay living room tiles and bedroom tiles homogenous tiles at $2.80

Plastering the whole house as the old flat is really rough. keke

Rewiring and change pipes to stainless steel

Box up and false ceiling for corridor as we bought the corridor

the quote u have is pretty standard..

what really matters most is your contractor has a good attitude and follow up.

meanwhile, i m just curious your u do overlay for the toilet?? to hack n relay wont cost you alot more since u are already hacking...

overlaying may cost u some problems in 5-7 years
