System 1 + System 3

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Quick question:

Just bought a 4-room at Boon Tiong Road - in its present state, it's been outfitted with a System 3 Inverter (Panasonic), with FCUs in each of the 3 bedrooms. As such, I'm thinking of installing a System 1 Mitsubishi 18,000 BTU for the living/dining (rectangular area).

Would running 2 systems in parallel make sense? Any alternatives?

Thanks, and cheers,

EJ

Thanks! Great post.

Was also toying with the idea of using a non-inverter for the single split living/dining are as the area is already quite airy/windy, more so with a ceiling fan installed. But it's always good to have the option of turning on the A/C especially for family events or gathering of friends.

I had considered 3+1 option but its turning out to be too expensive.

Not really worth as I wont turn on the living aircon very often.

Settled for a system 4. Now I have to compromise on power...can only turn on aircon for one bedroom when living aircon is running.

Can live with that. Cost almost 25% less.

I'm using a 3+1 also. reason is that the system 3 was already deployed by the flat developer.

So die die have to use a system 1 for living. The one for the living is hardly used, unless got big gatherings. However we still decide to do it during the reno period. So that our ID can help has hide the big ugly trunkings with the carpentry.. so something like planning for the future. Cos if next time then do then will be quite ugly
