Never Buy From Nova Furniture Tradehub 21

Recently I bought a TV cabinet cost $700 and entitled a single mattress which the salesman claimed is a discount of $300. The spring mattress cost me $350 after the discount. He showed me the queen size mattress with a padded top displayed in the showroom. When they delivered the mattress there was no padded top layer. My maid received it when I was away and took out the plastic wrap. When I came back I went to Tradehub to confront them and they showed me another brand. They say it will cost me $780. I thought they will take back the other mattress but they said there is no refund.

I felt so cheated. I have to sleep on the horrible noisy spring mattress. Can't afford to discard it.

NEVER BUY FROM NOVA ANYMORE!

u r right, I had a bad experience also when i am looking for mattress, the showrrom is like a disco with loud techno musci .their aggressive selling is terrible. Guess what, I left. .......................

Later I visited their competitor next door ( Dunlopillow ). Nice enviroment, no force selling. In the end, I bought a mattress from the salesman. He even offered me a full refund if I find cheaper elsewhere !!!

I am trying very hard to save to purchase another brand of mattress. Their sales is not genuine. You can still bargain the prices even it is on offer!

Ya..Nova Sale Person is very forceful. I dun realli like the techno music at all!

Some of them behave like Ah beng while they spoke and explain stuff. Sometime feel pressurized.

At the end, we didnt buy anything and left after 2hrs of 'Ah beng' sale talks.

Btw, they are one of the few shops that offers customized bedroom furniture, which is the plus pts.

if u looking for FU*KUP SERVICE(pardon my english),look nowhere further, NOVA @ TRADEHUB 21 is the choice

!st: sales persons are pushy

2nd: typical ah-beng culture(mayb u get a discount if u start swearing and u mite be regarded as 1 of them)

3rd LOUD techno music(wun say much on tt as it is individual preference)

4th sales person are snobbish and sarcastic if u dun buy and gif u a reali SCREWED UP ATTITUDE

to be honest, i din buy anything from them so i cant comment on the quali of their products.

Last week i went down(1st to IMM den to TH 21) in search of furniture as my new hse will be ready b4 CNY. Went into NOVA as it was the most prominent unit. As i entered,i was hounded by the sales person who kept on following and asking wat i wanted to get. Initially i still smiled and reply i was browsing and if i need assistance i wld call out to him(generally in this cases, they wld leaveu alone to walk walk see see). The guy went on to bombard me Ques like: wat r u reali looking for?when do u need it? we can definately commit b4 CNY if u buy now. DUN EVEN BOTHER LOOKING else as we are the cheapest in town. etc etc.. I gt fed up and firmly told him, i will call out to him SHLD I NEED ASISTANCE. our fren did not back off but went on saying(quoto him directly):tis sofa got 1/2leather n PVC 1, u wan which 1. buy now la,i gif u good price.. i was tinking since it was a day out, so dowanna spoil my day so told i'm still looking @ design. den she ask ur hse how big?wan to gt L-shape isit. Den i mentioned, mine is a 3(I). Immediately our fren face n reply: huh so small ar, like tt dun NEED TO TINK ABT ALL THIS LIAO LA. Wat kind of svc is it? den he mentioned, actually, all the pattern also same la, wat ur budget...@ this pt i reali got fed up i snub him.. not more $400..den he said:ur this kind of budget no chioce 1 la.

I snapped @him n my gal had to pull me back: whether i got choice or not it is non of ur bloody business, my budget hi r low also gt nothing 2 do with u.

den he mention: UR KIND OF BUDGET IS NT U CHOOSE SOFA BUT IS SOFA CHOOSE U..

I snubbed back,u this type of dog eyes c pple low(direct translation), wtf u noe abt sales. limpei(I in english), come in is 2 c design, c which 1 i like,price is not even an issue. if i gt budget issue, i would head str for the cheap sale section, i bother lookingn studying the desgin of the sofa for wat.

With tt, i stormed out n headed off to celini. which i was attended by a veri nice lady who in end resulted in me spending $2500 on a sofa(she immediately gave me a discount which i was more den happy to have despite i was alr prepared to pay the fully price of almost $4000), coffee table, 1 recliner chair for fun, 1 tv console, 1 bar counter with 4 bar stools.and a day bed.End up the bill was almost $5-6k

i believei have related my case sufficiently enuff.for bros n sis out ther tt dun buy my exp, do support NOVA @ tradehub 21.

Nova from Ubi is not much different either....The salesperson - an horrible old man shout at me without any reason when I ask is there any warranty for their product. He said "Warranty for What, I never heard of warranty for furniture before". I said my friend just bought safa and he got warranty.., that's why I ask. Then he said "Go there then, You are not the only customer that we have" He even mentioned he is the manager there. What a stupid guy. :( I will never ever go there again...

NOVA suck...Rude salesperson..If you want to get shouted without any reason...Go there and you will get such a stupid service...

saw NOVA @ Tradehub 21 got sofa sales nearly go there to buy 1. end up never buy. Need to find white sofa or black sofa matched with all white paints.

my friend just bought a sofa from Italy Furniture under the Nova group few months ago and the sofa was now infested with wood bugs. They took the sofa back to their warehouse last Sat and now my friend was told that they will change the wood base for him when he was promised a replacement new set. How can you just change the wood base when the whole sofa has been attacked by these bugs and with holes bitten by them all around it? Though this sofa was bought from Nova's premier range of sofas with a 3 years warranty and cost above $1000, seems like no one wants to bother with this problem nor are there anyone who can provides some proper customer service. Doesn't Nova set any guidelines for their staff to upkeep their service and image? I tried calling the Tradehub branch for a management contact to liaise with in their head office but the lady who picked up my call was unwilling to reveal any information. Currently, Charlie from the logistics is handling my friend's case and was inform that he'll have to wait for the production department to inform him on the next course of action for this sofa. Thought for such a case, replacement is the only option and yet the company is still trying to use back the sofa and put their customer at risk with a wood bug furniture. This would pose a very serious problem as wood bugs would spread eventually to the whole house and yet they doesn't seem to be concerned of this.

I will agreed with you all on the pressurize selling tactics, but we don't know who is behind to support these tactics they used. If you are the Boss of the company, will you employ these people? If you are the Boss, I guess once a while you will get someone to spy on their customer service standards. They have been using these tactics for more than 4 yrs, so who do you think is behind the tatics? Anyway, it works for them, they survive till now. As a comsumer, we have to be firm on our decision too, just walk on to view other items let the salesperson continue to talk if he wants. If you really feel pressurised, leave the place. He may try to stop u from leaving, just ignore him. Well, I guess when we are young we tend to be pressurize by saleperson into buying and they know the weakness of the young too, they are not born yesterday. When we are older they will use other tactics (When they see human, they talk human. When they see ghost, they talk ghostly). We are the Customers, we come as we want and go as we want. They can't stop us, do not be stopped by them. :yeah:

Just to add on a little, so far my experience with the Star Furniture sales people are the Best! They should be the role model of all the furniture shops in Singapore. :good: Hope they will maintain the standard.

According to Sunday Times, they were selling Full Leather sofas. When the customer received the goods, some parts of the sofa is not cowhide leather, maybe synthetic or split leather. So customer complain to CASE.. Next time if you see sofas too cheap, better ask salesman to personally write in Black and White on sales agreement that they are using Full Cowhide Leather. Some sofa retailers resort to using buffalo hides...
