Read it somewhere that Baking soda deodorize your fridge. Place an open box in fridge overnight to absorb odors.

Charcoal can work too, and is used as a filtering material quite often!

However, the most common thing to use is a box of baking soda.

My dad puts newsapaPers in the fridge. Don't need to spread. Just put the newspapers in a corner. I think it works.

Yep, newspaper works... I used to place marinaded chicken or meat without covering with cling wrap and it smells. Then I laid a sheet of newspaper below some items and left it alone. The fridge didn't smell after sometime. I hope it helps!

Agree too， I am using two types from Daiso. Gel and grandula type. Both are effective...esp if you put in durians!
