dmay 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2009 (edited) Oh... Formica is nice! Looks like you have good & exp taste Is yours "Couture Wood"? Hi, don't think mine is that... Think mine is Oiled Walnut, Naturelle Finish. We saw it in their showroom and got a A4 sample from them. Think it's a new series with a matching edgeband, and yes... it's quite expensive Edited December 17, 2009 by dmay
dmay 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2009 Yeah, flooring for the 3 bedrooms + balcony is completed! This is the machine that's doing the work Machine @ work See the difference It's a few rounds of work. 1st, they sand it down using the coarse sandpaper (the red one) After that, they uses this to apply onto the flr, I think it shd be something like a fillings... to fill up any gap in-btw the wood... it's such strong lacquer smell... really bad for the body... I feel for the workers...
dmay 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2009 This is how it is when applied onto the floor After this is dry, they sand it again, using the finer sandpaper (the blue one) Afterwhich they apply the filling for 2 more times... and after it's dry, they apply the lacquer Oh, and the saw dust after the 1st round of sanding looks like this But the saw dust after the 2nd round of sanding is ... wow... And, here's the final product (just the balcony, didn't take the rooms...)
bigeyedfish 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2009 And, here's the final product (just the balcony, didn't take the rooms...) Is it the polished, shiny one or matte finished? But it looks good. Your kitchen's transformation is also very nice.

Yeah, saw your blog, you also in Bt. P, I'm @ Senja Your flooring is so much nicer... they are long strips right, must hv cost alot then... We like matte finish, even if it's scratch, it's not as obvious

Yours must be @Grand right? Used to bring my kids to the playground there.
