You budget is generous, the top brands are as follows:

Sealy, Simmons, Serta and Tempur.

Actually anything from Sealy and Simmons should be fine. Sealy mattresses are usually plusher because of their patented spring system and Simmons are usually firmer because pocket coil mattress have to be firm to prevent sagging.

It really boils down to your preference for comfort.

FYI, Capella on Sentosa uses Sealy mattresses.

is negative ions new for the backcare series? i mean a few yrs back, the series did not have this? i notice back then in 2002 backcare 3/4 cost 2k but now is 5k. what a big increase if we are buying the same stuff.pls advice , thanks

If you look at the Backcare 3 and 4, they are not very plush, you are paying a lot for the Simmons brand name.

You should go somewhere you can try and compare the feeling.

Tangs at Vivocity has Simmons and Sealy side by side, you can try them out there.
