Hacking has been completed and debris cleared!

Progress has been slow for the past few days cos we have not been able to finalize on our kitchen layout.

My contractor has to chase me instead

Finally, we have managed to determine what we want but still need to pend for my carpenter to come back with drawings so that my contractor can start on the electrical works!

The pipes are ugly, right?

Those along the wall will be covered with cabinets.

If u notice, there is a big pipe that protrude out to the walkway - no choice but to box it up again.

You may want to refer to my pre-renovation pics to see how our ex-owner did their reno. Basically, we will be doing something similar.

Actually the rattan mini chair in the corner of the pic gave me the idea that a rattan light would fit into the theme.

Yep very ugly if not covered up I feel, mine has a big pipe protruding out also! Hdb really didn't consider how the pipes would look. Wanted to go for an "open" and simple kitchen without much cabinets or boxing up, but I think it's either that or ugly pipes :/

Well, though 3-d conceptwerke's price is on the high side, but I still love the design by Dess.

It's not the typical design u see everywhere.

Probably not much consideration into the aesthetics part.

True, I guess it's paying for their design, which seems unique to each place from my layman view Would have loved to see how they would have designed my place if I could.

He is a very easy person to talk to, judging from the long chat we had just for the meetup. Haha.

Bought the Clipsal LED Switch @ CCM

We spent in total about S$900+ on the whole unit switches, power socket, scv outlet, tel outlet, water heater.

Although very 'xim tier', love the solid "click" on the switches! We must be crazy!

Well, luckily we did not spend much on the lights!

Should be getting 2 of this for kitchen - S$19.90 each (IKEA)

Got this at S$58 x 2 (Best Denki) - for living room

The rest of the lights - downlights (13), MBR toilet (Philips wall light), Staircase (Philip wall light) - $558

Glad that we have settled all lights! yeah!

My one month leave officially ends today!

Glad that most purchases has been either settled or decided!

Can start work without much worries!

The washing machine is sthg which I did not managed to get since day one cos really dun know what to get.

As I do not wish to spend more than 1K on a washing machine, had a hard time deciding bet Asian or int'l brand.

In the end, I have gotten a new LG Direct Drive Front Load Washer Dryer WD-1484ADP (Retail Price S$1799) at Mega Discount Store at S$1088 (with S$50 NTUC voucher & a Lock & Lock Tupperware Gift set worth S$65) today. Heard promotion will officially start this weekend!
