MTlot 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 all your hacking costs so much.. must be from ID Hacking work: hack existing concrete wall total length 49ft hack existing WC and Bathroom's floor tiles hack existing kitchen floor tiles in total $900 Nope from contractor, that is what he quoted me. Mine is hack whole hse no walls. What i believe is there is always a price difference when we breakdown our quotation i.e contractor A might be cheaper in hacking works but carpentry works expensive and on the other hand contractor B charge more on the hacking works but carpentry cheaper a lot. So it still depends on what is our priorities before signing on the dotted line. At the end, I believe all of us still want to see workmanship quality. You mentioned it is only 900 which is reasonable. In fact 49ft hacking is not alot. Hacking fee range from $1.5 to $3 psf, so 49ft by 8ft (height to ceiling, newer house should be lower than 8ft) = 392 sf which gives u a hacking fee from $588 to $1176.
