Laminate Flooring

Recommended Posts

Hello,

My laminate flooring was done about 2 weeks ago and I am very satisfied with my choice of designs.

However, just after a week of installation, my Boy's room and MBR laminate profile were peeled off because the door installer dragged the doors over it. In fact the pic below is my TV area, and I don't even know when it's profile was peeled as we were quite careful after the 2 incidents.

I have called the salesman but he just said that the door guy should compensate but I feel that the profile is too delicate to go with my AC4 laminate floor, right?

Has anyone ever experienced this and any suggestion or advices?

Thanks:(

sorry to hear about this...laminate must be done last...any further works, must put protection over it.

Laminate guy is correct, door guy should compensate...

IMO just from the price point alone, it would be better to consider "eco-art" strip flooring by Woodland easiflor @ www.woodlandeasiflor.com - developed through a new green technology.

It comes with dimension 12x125x1200mm (HxWxL) using HDF as base and through Jetcoat proprietry coating technology with greater improvement to the hardness and the resistance to scratch and abrasion.

It also comes with a click system called "easifit" that one can DIY and you can dismantle it for use in your new home if you move.

Hi there, I'll also need advise too.. Went to expo last week and was intro with Tarkett and Parador laminated flooring by a company. Website : http://www.evorich.com.sg/index.asp

I was quoted $6.50 psf for their best material.. Both laminated materials are from Eroupe.

Am I being 'carrot' by them? I've yet to pay the deposit with them, am going to by tomorrow..

Any advise? :)

Laminated Materials could just be that thin sheet of paper design from europe. Manufacturing could still be from China.

For laminates better to buy high quality ones, since durability is a main factor you are considering here. I have used both pergo and kronotex. They are priced higher but certainly worth it.

since all is fully furnished, why u want to go for laminate flooring unless u dun like the current timber flooring, some how u can discuss with ur ID or contractor if u want to go for laminate flooring, .....decisions is yours,

p/s: from my point of view, i dun think u need to waste for extra money to get the laminate flooring since all is done

Hi

What brand is your laminate?

As seen from your pic...

The Peeled part is NOT Laminate

It is a soft material to join your laminate to the main flooring

If it is laminate - it should be the SAME design as your laminated flooring.

Quick-step salesman says that quick-step uses pure laminate joins

Hi all, it seem that most of you got yr laminate floor at $4-$6 psf. It seem to be expensive as my was done half year ago at less than $3 psf and now it still look so far so good. ;)
