cacabi111 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 (edited) Hello eveyone, am considering btw the 2 models: A) LG Tromm WD 14331AD, direct drive, 8kg, washer+dryer ($899) B) LG F1422TD, direct drive, 8kg, washer only but newer model ($999) Am more inclined towards A. But will like to ask for feedback about the dryer function, ...does it work properly & how much time for an average load to wash+dry? (rem reading quite negative feedback abt dryer function previously...) Any current users of Tromm WD 14331AD...can provide some reviews pls? Cos if the dryer function not very stable, then i better reach deeper into pockets and buy B instead, which has no dryer but is the newer model. Hope to get some help here, thanks very much! (think max is 1400) & thanks for ur reply Cacabi, as mentioned in my PM, DD is quiet but the washer does virbrate in the initial stage when it spins up which is normal. (think max is 1400) & thanks for ur reply i use only 800rpm, they don`t have 1000rpm option. Max is 1400rpm. Intially b4 i bought, i tot was quiet. Bt it still have abit of aeroplane sound esp when it starts to spin and when it starts to stop. Its still a good machine, i can bear with e sound. ahbudden 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 i was at courts yesterday. i overheard the sales person say to someone else that washer cum dryer will get the clothes 92% dry only (how he derive this figure i dunno) i was also looking at the tromm unit. whereas he said a specialised dryer will get it 100% dry. my wifey then said if not totally dry and still need to hang it out, then what;s the point of getting a washer / dryer. Words of wisdom. haha... WOW.. this is a great piece of information but... have anyone who own washer+dryer machine comment on this.. It could also be a sales talk by the sales person leh... If they sell seperate machine, they will get better commission,, I think it's better to email/talk to the engineer of the washing machine company... since they will be able to advise better... Just think of it, those high end brand like Brandid, Fisher & Paykel and even Miele, they are all seperate washer dryer... maybe the sales man is also correct. Anyway, we singapore weather, don't really need a dryer. My germany friend, dont even use a dryer here. Looking at your pic, I think the aeroplane sound is turbo whine. Even though flat four engines are inherently smooth because of reciprocal opposing forces, there will be some vibrations especially with less compliant bushings. About your machine, the air filter looks bigger than my lampshade, looking at the stickers, I've always liked Marissa Tomei in 'My Cousin Vinny" but never knew the Chinese shipping corporation (COSCO) sells acid (LSD).
