Recommended Posts

Just installed the rain shower in my new home...and realise the water pressure is too low...water is drizzling instead.

Searched through the forum and discovered a lot of ppl also experiencing the same problem.

Anyone have any solution to this?

Which level you stay in? Nowadays new flats the water tank is right at the top level wheras old housing.. below. Did you check where is the Water tank at your estate. The level or location of your house will affect too. Its not reccomended to use rain shower or shower panels in HDB cos you wont feel the same effect as what you have seen in the showroom when you are about to purchase your shower system. Even if you use a storage heater the effect of your rain shower is only going to perform 60-70%. The only way is to install a booster but a booster is illegal to install in Singapore. When you purchase the rain shower , did the sales rep tell you that certain kind of housing not advisable to use. Cos water pressure not enough .... If they did not inform you, you should demand an explaination. I hope i helped you....

if your's is not top floor, then try my suggestion.

find a water pressure control valve first in your bathroom leading to shower, if it is mid way, turn it on. If there is not, then go to the main water valve, usually near the water meter outside your house. use the spanner or tap extender to turn it on more.

Where is this water pressure control valve located? Is it installed by HDB or by the ID's contractor?
