Backsplash

I'm considering whether to add in backsplash between top and bottom cabinets in my kitchen..

If choose black, can see the white dust on the backsplash? easy cleaning after cooking oily foods?

any disadv?

anyone who has it can share? :)

I intend to use stainless steel coz easy to maintain. Cannot see any dust plus easy to wipe off oil stain.

pardon me but what's the diff betw using glass, stainless steel or tiles? cost-wise & maintenance?

can anyone enlighten me?

Depends on length i guess. For me I'm using 10ft stainless steel.

1)Tiles - included in your reno quotation.

2)Glass - tempered , additional cost ( usually not included in quotation and expensive for tempered glass )

3)Stainless Steel - additional cost ( usually cheaper due to different grades )

Above explaination is advise from my contractor.

For maintenance wise, I'm not too sure for no 1 and 2 as I've never used before. For no 3 currently using at my in law's hse so far quite easy to wipe off any oil stains after cooking.
