fastfirefish 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2009 Welcome welcome to renotalk Thank you for the warm welcome You must call him,but he alway no when he busy ,so u can send sms in chinese to remind uncle be4 meeting him, More of the time he will call back to me n answer he on the way or late. no matter he come or not,at least we no need wait like a fool after we going out. For me I direct call uncle ah dai (soon's brother) to plan worker do my hacking work.no aeroplane^^ I didn't know uncle got another brother to handle his worker and stuff. Can i check with you guys 2 things about uncle, 1) how many of you have your renovation start date delayed ? 2) did you guys paid a 20% deposit upon signing the contract? Try to call uncle again to ask better. Uncle initially promised to start work on monday 28th of September but told me that he was busy and couldn't make it. Then he promised me to start tomorrow. Called and checked with him regarding the reno, answered me "yes yes my men will be going over at about 2pm". About 8pm I went to my house and checked, nothing was done. Called him a couple of times, no answer and no callback. It always happens. Guess I'll get this kind of brushing you off feeling very often from him. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Manage to call through also must see his mood whether he wants to answer or not. I'm saying this because I have personally seen calls coming in when I'm with him and he choose to ignore the call. Is the normal for Uncle's style? Hi FFF, He always MIA for a while!!! But dun worry, he will turn up soon!!!! Try calling him at 10-11 am, best timing!!!! The hacking + clearing + haulage process will take at least 2 weeks, sometimes up to 3-4 weeks! Best to keep bugging him!!! And yes, that is normal for him this period of time. I am into 6 weeks of reno and I am at the wiring/plastering/L-box stage, can you imagine!?!?!? And for my side is the fastest currently cos my hacking is done by another contractor (another long story)!!! Jess side took 2 months + liao and she is only slightly faster than me!!!
