Diy-ing A Lamp For The Altar, Anyone Can Help?

Hiyee, my parent brought a mini-lamp from Thailand for the buddha we have at home. Unfortunately the altar was too far away from the main and i dont intend to run trunking along the wall just to run the wire to the main. Im thinking of DIY-ing a base so that i can run the lamp on battery instead.

The lamp currently operates on a 2 pin plug and im thinking of cutting the plug away and connect to a battery pack instead, can this be done?

the bulb rating are stated as 230V 7W

anyone good in electrical knowledge please advice
