Laminate Qtns

My ID didn't give me glossy laminate for my console. Brought it up to him but he kept insisting that the laminate is correct.

Asking it to be re-laminate is totally impossible. Thus, can I know whether just apply a coat of lacquer over it?

not possible. the lacquer will not stay. laminate is engineered sheets and paint or whatever will look very ugly over it.

re-laminiate is impossible but need to take out and redo which is possible.
