shanbis 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 Hi There, I intend to use a chrome bottle trap for my common toilet and it will be exposed under the sink. I understand most pipes connecting to the bottle trap will be pvc. If I want to match the chrome bottle trap, does anyone know where can I buy the matching chrome pipes please? Many thanks. Very nice house you got there I suppose stainless steel one should be better than chrome right? thanks for the compliments well.... guess s/s ones should be better - the plumbers actually proposed PVC as a more lasting pipe, cos not so prone to corrosion as chrome. but the wife din like the PVC thing, so die die went to source for s/s piping. but actually, dunno how hardy the chrome bottle traps and pipes are agst corrosion, esp if you plan to use those drain cleaners in case of clogged pipes. if poss, try to get the more heavy-duty ones. the bottle trap we got was of thicker material, so as the s/s piping. but cos the s/s piping cannot be cut, unlike chrome, there is still PVC joining @ the bottom... tt is the sad part

The bottom joint, if the stainless pipe diameter bigger than the plastic joint then it will look nice rite?
