Water also not so easy to slip in. But top mount also got advantage lar. At least when u want to change sink , it’s easier
yoongf 11 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 This issue is a no brainer. Always go for undermount. When counter top got water, can just push into the sink. Top mount not possible to do that, and also sure got ugly silicon joints which is prone to leaks.
DKCH 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 The one at my place is top mount. Meaning, the basin is sitting on the solid surface. SUre, it looks nice. But, on hindsight, I think we should have gone on undermount. A bit more practical. Now, when water splashes out, and it does, you can only wipe it to the floor. At least with undermount, you can just wash it into the basin.

sohck 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2009 so under mount is better? usually sink how much? i don't know anything about reno. Prices between top-mount and bottom-mount sinks are not very different. You just need to look for sinks that are meant for bottom-mount. Full range of products and prices.
