Topline 1 Report post Posted August 24, 2009 Hi Does any one place flower pots directly on their wooden decking of their balcony? Does the rain/ soil/ dirt cause stains on the wooden decking? How do I prevent that? Any ideas?
yoongf 11 Report post Posted August 24, 2009 I put this below the pot. http://www.versicell.com/drainage_cell.htm The biggest problem is moisture. If allow the water to soak into the wood, it will eventually soften and be less resistent to insects. This drainage cell will allow moisture to evaporate easily, and prevent soaking of the wood. Most nursuries like Far East Flora / Ji Mei got sell. 1 2ftX2ft piece is ard $6.
Topline 1 Report post Posted August 25, 2009 the Chengal Decking might cause staining themselves as they r coated....I think you should worry about the chengal decking staining... What do you mean ... the chengal wood even without the flower pots (for eg, the rest of the balcony) will stain? Is it discolouration due to sunlight?
