Hi Tiler Seng, can I ask for your professional advise..

after the tiler has completed the tiling work, are we suppose to check the work of the tiles? how to check?

My contractor's workers have completed the tile and as we need to do plastering for the wall, they immediately laid the cupboard paper. Is this a common practice or should we check first? What should we check? What the common problems to look out for?

I am not sure if the contractor is doing the right thing.

Appreciate your advise.

This is usual to cover up after tile to avoid stained to grouting, usually the site supervisor should let the owner check before it being covered, well, let them finished off the rest of the job and get the floor washed, it is easier for you to check the defect after all.

I just bought a 5rm resale (point blk, 120sqm) and wish to renovate the following:

Kitchen

- Hacking of 1-panel existing wall of kitchen area

- Hacking of existing kitchen cabinet

- Hacking of existing wall tiles and floor tiles

- Supply and install homogenous wall tiles

- Supply and install homogenous floor tiles

- Supply and install inlet and outlet piping for kitchen sink and washing machine

- Construct top and bottom cabinet, with granite top

Toilet

- Hacking of existing wall and floor tiles

- Supply and install wall tiles

- Supply and install floor tiles

- Construct storage cabinet for sink, with mirror

- Install bi-fold doors for 2 toilets

- Supply and install toilet bowls

- Waterproofing existing water pipes or change to PVC pipes

Balcony

- Supply and install aluminum sliding window grill (26sqft)

- Supply and install sliding glass doors (50sqft)

Master Bedroom

- Supply and install aluminum sliding glass windows (32sqft)

- Supply and install aluminum sliding window grill (32sqft)

Pls advise the quotation.

Request for quotation for the followings:

• Hack whole unit

• Hack service Balcony wall

• Change entrance of common toilet to service balcony

• Toilet and wall tile 30x60

• Lay 60x60 homogenious tiles (Living, bedroom, kitchen)

• Changes whole unit windows to powder coated with grill

• False ceiling with cove for living, dinning, 3 bedrooms, kitchen and toilet.

Do you have a prejudice against houses with existing occupants? Do you only renovate big landed properties and new, empty or unoccupied resale houses?? Do you accept more jobs than you can handle??

Can you also not post so much 3D pictures and start posting real pictures of the works you have completed? Anyone can do or steal 3D designs.

Do you accept more jobs than you can handle??- most of the time yes, end up we have finance issue cause got no time to prepare final claim, most of the time last payment collected only two months after renovation.

Can you also not post so much 3D pictures and start posting real pictures of the works you have completed? Anyone can do or steal 3D designs.- i have upload whatever i had on hand!!

btw, do you know it really take quite awhile for preparation and photo shooting, so the real pictures doesn't comes easy.
