My existing door is lacquer finish and I am wondering if I can laminate it instead of replacing the door which cost over $1k.Thanks in advance!you need to check the depth of your door frame slit.if you laminate over the existing main door, the door will be thicker. So there is a risk the door might protrude out instead of sitting flush with the frame.Depending on your current lock set, it might not be able to re-use.
